2018 Education Programs

2018 School Tours

Dates:  June 11, 12 and 13: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

The San Mateo County Fair invites all Pre-Kindergarten through 4th grade students to come tour our 2018 Fair. Tour dates are Monday June 11, Tuesday, June 12th and Wednesday June 13th

Reservations will be taken until Thursday, May 31st.

Included on the tour will be a visit to the San Mateo County Fair Barnyard which houses animals being raised on today’s San Mateo County farms, the Show Pavilion will host various livestock shows throughout the day, Students will come away from the experience knowing how much agriculture touches us on a daily basis. Students will also visit our Rain Forest www.pacificanimalproductions.com featuring exotic protected animals, our Family Fun Zone containing our Super Science interactive learning games, Tapigami –making art with masking tape www.tapigami.com and our Butterfly Conservation Exhibit. The process of metamorphosis is just one of many fascinating topics visitors can learn from the exhibit.

Community Service

Community ServiceThe San Mateo County Fair annually recognizes High School Seniors who provide service to nonprofit organizations in the community. This recognition is for high school students who have completed 20+ hours of community service outside of school!

Read2Ride

For every two books you read, receive two ride tickets, free.

The San Mateo County Fair Read to Ride program is open to students from kindergarten through the eighth grade. Students must read two books, write a summary for their teacher and bring the completed form signed by your teacher to the San Mateo County Fair Guest Services booth, located inside Gate 1, closest to Delaware Avenue.
