What Exhibitors Need To Know

 

Get in on the fun and tradition of SAN MATEO’S KIDS, San Mateo County Fair’s creative and educational competitions for kids from pre-school through high school. Check out the all-new 2018 competitions in Cake Decorating, Art, Photography, Sewing, Science, Hobby Collections, Quilting, Needlework, Woodworking, Drafting, and Creative Writing are always popular…and so much fun! Two free Fair tickets provided to every exhibitor!

Browse through our competition book and choose the competitions that interest you. Be sure to follow the rules and guidelines specific to each competition.

 

  • Monday, April 2 midnight Notre Dame de Namur Creative Writing Scholarship Entry and Writing Due
  • Tuesday, May 8 midnight Entry Forms Due
  • Tuesday, May 29, 2-8 pm Entries Due (except those noted due Thursday, June 7, 3-6 pm & Friday, June Nine between 8-10am
  • Wednesday, May 30, 2-8 pm Entries Due (except those noted due Thursday, June 7, 3-6 pm & Friday, June Nine between 8-10am
  • Thursday, June 7 3-6pm Entries Due - Feature Booth Set-Up, Baked Goods, Decorated Food Items, Tablesettings, Collections, and Horticulture
  • Friday, June 8 8-10am Entries Due - Feature Booth Set-Up, Baked Goods, Decorated Food Items, Tablesettings, Collections, and Horticulture
  • Sunday, June 17 3 pm Youth Award Ceremony

Outstanding Leadership Award

The John Kyne Award was inaugurated in 1974 in memory of John Kyne. The recipient of this prestigious youth award is selected based on their quality and diversity of exhibits throughout the Fair; demonstrated assistance with other exhibitors and department supervisors in the form of teaching, sportsmanship, leadership, attitude and cooperation; and their efforts and assistance given to the fair.
