Established in 1953, the Juggers is the oldest racing club active in California. We are celebrating our 70th anniversary by providing this exhibit at the San Mateo County Fair. Our members include champions in NHRA Sportsman series, the Hot Rod Heritage series, and one member who runs a partial schedule in Pro Stock. We also have land speed record holders, a member of the 300 mph club, and a member of the Bonneville Hall of Fame. We meet once a month and sponsor several charities, but our High School Program is our primary effort. The program goal is to get more young people racing on the track and not on the roads. Every week we have club volunteers helping these new racers, showing them how to race and answering any questions they may have. We also have a drawing where one racer gets a free tech card for a future race courtesy of the Juggers Racing Team. Last year we sponsored a special High School Night at Sonoma Raceway, where we paid for 26 high school racers to race and taught all the newcomers how to do it. An important part of our High School Program is our annual $1,000 scholarship. Applicants are limited to high school seniors who race at Sonoma Raceway Wednesday Night Drags program in the High School Class.
