San Mateo, CA – The San Mateo County Fair is kicking off with a bang as it unveils its newest entertainment experience: the Bayside 101 Music Festival, taking place May 30 and May 31, 2025, on the opening weekend of the Fair. This exciting two-day music celebration, presented by The SF Peninsula, will feature an unforgettable lineup of national headliners, local talent, and nonstop performances across multiple stages.
Festival headliners include iconic rock bands Better Than Ezra, Hoobastank, and Everclear. The festival will span across three stages: Main Stage, Fiesta Stage, and The Peninsula Stage, offer back-to-back performances in addition to our Headliners, top DJs, and Indie artists. The festival has been created to deliver a diverse range of genres throughout both days. Bayside 101 promises to be an exciting musical journey for every fan. Immediately following main stage performances will be this year’s brand-new Drone Light Show lighting up the Sky— an electrifying fusion of technology and imagination that will leave you in awe.
As the sun sets, look up and witness hundreds of synchronized drones painting dazzling animations across the sky with vibrant LED lights. It’s a one-of-a-kind performance you’ll have to see to believe! May 30 and 31 at 9:15 p.m.

Admission to the festival is included with your general admission ticket to the Fair, offering incredible value for a weekend packed with entertainment. Food lovers can also enjoy an array of fair favorites, such as BBQ, Corndogs and the amazing Noel’s Tacos. New culinary additions include Boba King, Lobster Shack, and Brian’s Baked Potatoes. We’ve got you covered with bars serving ice-cold beer and a curated wine selection, along with selection of Cutwater cocktails, hard seltzers, non-alcoholic beers, popular Poppi Sodas and well traditional Fair Favorites.
The Bayside 101 Music Festival sets the momentum for eight days of fun, music, and celebration at the San Mateo County Fair, running May 30 through June 8, 2025. Closed on June 2 and 3.
