*Carnival closes one hour after buildings depending on crowd

The San Mateo County Fair will include all Fair favorites including Carnival rides and games, Fair food, livestock, shopping, exhibits, entertainment on two stages and the Safeway outdoor evening concerts. Fair tickets include admission, entertainment and exhibits. Carnival rides, parking, games and food are not included.

Upon arrival at the Admission Gate, guests will enter through metal detectors and security will check your bags. If you have a ticket, you may proceed to the ticket takers and your ticket will be scanned. If you don’t have a ticket, you may purchase one (if any are available) at the ticket booths.

Yes, we have a limited number of wheelchairs available for rent. You may locate them at our Guest Services booth located at the East end of Expo Hall and inside of Gate 1 in Kiddie Carnival.

No outside food or drinks are allowed with the exception for those with special dietary needs.

No. Fair guests may only bring service animals into the Fair.

The First Aid services are in the Public Safety Building west of Redwood Hall, which is on the other side of the gate from the carnival. Our team may also be roaming the grounds to assist.

DO NOT attend the Fair if you feel sick.

There are many ways to participate! You can perform on our outdoor stages. You can be a volunteer. Browse through our Fair Info and Competitive Exhibits links online to get an idea of what you can contribute!

Yes! You can volunteer by yourself or with a group of friends (sign up HERE) OR with your club, church group, youth group, and more (sign up HERE).

Yes, but touchless transactions are encouraged.

Yes. Concerts are included in Fair admission. Click HERE for updated schedule. Performers and events subject to change.

Yes, but only for admissions (you will get a hand stamp upon exit for return). No in and out privileges for parking.

You don’t need to be vaccinated against COVID-19, but it is strongly recommended.

It is recommended (not mandatory) to wear a mask, be vaccinated, and practice social distancing while at the Fair. We prioritize the safety and well-being of our customers and staff by closely following the COVID-19 mandate protocols set forth by the state of California.

Yes, you can get a refund up to 10 days before the San Mateo County Fair starts, on June 2nd. Please contact [email protected].

Yes. But we cannot guarantee tickets will be available for purchase at the gate during the run of the San Mateo County Fair. We strongly encourage you to purchase your tickets online in advance. We’d hate to have to turn you away if we are at full capacity. You’ll also save money if you pre-purchase your tickets online before June 3rd!
