In partnership with the San Mateo Pride Center, the San Mateo County Fair has designated Monday, June 10 as Family PRIDE Day. In conjunction with Pride Month, the Fair is committed to celebrating the LGBTQIA community, allies and family members.
On Family PRIDE Day, the San Mateo Pride Center will present a resource fair with partnering organizations that are LGBTQ centering and affirming. Participating organizations include the PRIDE Initiative.
Family PRIDE Day will kick-off with a ribbon cutting ceremony outside gate 5 (enter from Saratoga Drive), just before the noon official opening. Pride flags will be displayed throughout the fairgrounds. In addition, LGBTQIA and allied entertainers will perform on the Community Stage.
The special day will culminate with a free concert at 7:30 p.m. featuring Queen Nation, a tribute to the music of Queen.
While all concerts are included with admission at the San Mateo County Fair, those who prefer a premium, reserved seat can purchase a Gold Circle ticket. Gold Circle tickets are just $40 and include admission to the fair plus reserved seating at the concert.
